Astatine is the study association for Advanced Technology and Nanotechnology. We are here to help out and guide our members with all study related issues. Besides that, we have many different committees organizing many fun activities. Ranging from karting or just dance tournaments, to joining the football competition, to study evenings, to an eight-day study trip . Please ask all the questions you have and we’ll answer them the best we can.

ik wil niet lenen bij DUO want ik mag niet lenen van mijn geloof, maar een bijbaan naast me studie werkt ook niet (te zwaar) hoe los ik dit op

De Universiteit Twente biedt veel verschillende bijbaantjes aan zoals docent assistent, hulp bij open dagen, servicebalie medewerker, etc. die vrij goed betalen voor hoeveel werk ze zijn. Omdat ze van de uni zijn houden ze redelijk rekening met roosters en drukke periodes. Dus dat zou ik aanraden. Er is maar beperkt plek dus je moet je redelijk op tijd in het jaar aanmelden.

There is not really a summary for the whole study unfortunately. I suppose the best way to prepare is to keep up with physics but mainly calculus. Not having to worry about the calculus as much allows you to focus more on the other material. In the first year you will have mechanics, thermodynamics, quantum physics/material science and dynamical systems in that order. If you want to prepare more I recommend you read up on mechanics for the first quartile. The other courses build on the first one so it would not be worth the effort in my opinion to start on those already now.
